CAMINITO DEL REY 2027

Our Spanish adventure begins as we fly from Luton to the vibrant coastal city of Málaga. After meeting our private transfer, we’ll head into the heart of the city and check into our stylish boutique hotel for the first night of the trip.

The afternoon is yours to relax and settle into the Spanish sunshine. You may wish to explore Málaga’s historic old town, wander along the marina, enjoy tapas by the sea, or visit the famous Picasso Museum.

In the evening, those who wish can join the group for an optional welcome dinner — a lovely chance to get to know your fellow adventurers whilst enjoying delicious local food and soaking up the buzzing atmosphere of southern Spain.

Today is the big one! After breakfast, we travel into the dramatic landscapes of El Chorro for one of the most spectacular walking experiences in Europe — the world-famous Caminito del Rey.

Suspended high above deep gorges and turquoise waters, this breathtaking trail takes us along cliffside boardwalks, hanging bridges, and mountain pathways with unforgettable views at every turn. Originally built for hydroelectric workers over 100 years ago, the Caminito has become one of Spain’s most iconic adventures.

After completing the walk, we’ll enjoy a well-earned lunch overlooking the lakes before continuing our journey into the stunning mountaintop town of Ronda. Here we check into our beautiful hotel overlooking the historic bullring, with free time to explore the cobbled streets, dramatic gorge viewpoints, cafés, and rooftop terraces.

This evening is all about relaxing, soaking up the atmosphere, and celebrating an unforgettable day in Andalucía.

After breakfast, you’ll have some free time to explore the beautiful town of Ronda at your own pace. Wander through the cobbled streets, admire the dramatic El Tajo Gorge, visit the historic bullring, browse the local shops, or simply enjoy a slow Spanish coffee in one of the town squares.

Later, we travel to the extraordinary village of Setenil de las Bodegas — one of the most unique villages in Spain, famous for its whitewashed houses built directly into the rock cliffs above. There will be time to explore the narrow streets, take photographs, and enjoy lunch surrounded by this incredible scenery.

Returning to Ronda, there will be time to relax before joining Julia for an optional gentle sunset walk to some of the town’s most breathtaking viewpoints. Expect golden evening light, dramatic landscapes, and unforgettable views of the famous Puente Nuevo bridge from below.

Tonight, enjoy another relaxed Spanish evening in beautiful Ronda. 

This morning we enjoy a more relaxed start in beautiful Ronda, giving you time for a final wander through the old town, some souvenir shopping, or perhaps a leisurely coffee overlooking the gorge.

After checking out, we travel through the rolling Andalusian countryside to the charming whitewashed village of Mijas Pueblo. Perched high above the Costa del Sol, this picturesque village is full of narrow cobbled streets, flower-filled balconies, hidden cafés, and stunning coastal views.

There will be plenty of free time to explore, enjoy lunch, browse the local artisan shops, or simply soak up the laid-back atmosphere of traditional southern Spain.

Later, we return to Málaga for our final evening together. You may choose to join the group for dinner, enjoy a sunset drink by the marina, or wander the lively streets of the old town as the city comes alive after dark.

Our final day begins with some free time to enjoy Málaga at your own pace. You may wish to explore the stylish shopping streets, enjoy coffee and pastries in the sunshine, visit the Picasso Museum, or simply soak up the atmosphere along the marina and historic old town.

For those who wish, there will also be the opportunity to join a guided visit to Málaga’s impressive Alcazaba and Roman Theatre — a fascinating glimpse into the city’s rich Moorish and Roman history, complete with beautiful gardens and panoramic views across the city. (optional)

After a final relaxed afternoon in Málaga, we transfer to the airport for our evening flight home, bringing to an end an unforgettable adventure filled with dramatic landscapes, Spanish culture, wonderful food, and shared memories.
