I loved this adventure from the start to finish! It had adventure, fun, culture and many unexpected experiences! Romania is a beautiful country with a rich history and stunning scenery. We stayed in unique accommodation. Each day had a full itinerary. I loved the dog sledding, quad biking, bobsleigh, medieval walled city, cultural village, food, drink, disco bus, tunnel with a pub at the end, the list is endless! I had hoped the cable car to take us off the mountain, would be cancelled due to the snowy weather, alas it wasn't. Looking forward to my next adventure with the Adventure Geek 😁
This was a fabulous hike that was well organised and run by Julia. Her time spent reccing this paid off as walkers were able to walk within their own boundaries taking different routes. Such a beautiful hike with fantastic views and a bit of a scramble .
Really enjoyed this trip to the Isle of Wight, the walk on day 1 was lovely along the cliff tops & was very interesting visiting the battery & understanding some of the local history. The boat ride on day 2 was great being able to see the Needles up close, id recommend using the chair lift down to the beach as the views were stunning. Would also recommend staying a little longer as there is so much to see on the Isle of Wight.
I would have liked to have caught an earlier flight to Brasov to spend more time in the city. Other than that, the whole trip was just perfect, no 2 days were the same, our accommodation, food, tours with options for people who didnt want to ski, or when there wasnt enough ice for horse sleighing, there was something else planned and the guide, dragot, he was perfect. I could see, he was so proud of his country and wanted us to share his passion with us. The high altitude, although I didnt suffer with altitude sickness or headaches, some did, so, if the trip is organised again, its people knowing what to expect and to slow down and take their time in walking when up on a mountain so high. My dietary needs were met, which was amazing, took a kettle, which was very much needed with tea and coffee. The astra village, mountains, castles, huskies, quad bike, tobogganing and the list goes on - just perfect. The little time we had we did so much. A perfect adventure trip.
I had the most brilliant week walking Hadrian's Wall with The Adventure Geek! Julia had put so much thought into each day and the itinerary was perfect, allowing not just a walk of the wall but an opportunity to look at the history of the wall, enjoy the views, take photos and enjoy an all round experience. The accommodation again was just right and I really loved being able to walk to each overnight stay and leave from there the next day to continue the journey. So as I say, I had the best time ever and met some lovely people, so huge thanks to Julia for all her planning and support!
Fabulous trip with a great bunch of people. The best way to see Stonehenge up close without having to pay the entry fee. Walking down the avenue approaching the stones is just stunning, re-tracing the steps of many who went before us. Can't wait until the next adventure.
As always, a very well organised and led weekend adventure. Lovely routes and interesting things to see along the way. Would offer comments to improve but really can't think of any, we had a great time.
