Itinerary
Your Camino adventure begins as we travel to Galicia in north-west Spain. After arriving at A Corona airport we’ll transfer to the historic port city of Ferrol, the traditional starting point of the Camino Inglés.
Once checked in, you’ll have time to settle into your surroundings, meet your fellow pilgrims and soak up the atmosphere of this fascinating maritime city. In the evening, we’ll gather for our first group meal, discuss the journey ahead and raise a glass to the adventure that awaits.

Today is a relaxed day designed to help you ease into the Camino experience. After breakfast, join Julia for an optional walk around the historic city of Ferrol, discovering colourful murals, maritime history and some of the hidden corners that many visitors miss.
You’ll also have the opportunity to collect your first Camino stamps, purchase any last-minute Camino essentials and enjoy the local cafés, shops and waterfront. It’s the perfect chance to get to know your fellow pilgrims before setting off on foot tomorrow.
In the evening, we’ll come together for a group meal and a final briefing before beginning our pilgrimage.

Today your pilgrimage begins. Setting off from the historic port of Ferrol, you’ll follow the famous yellow arrows through the city streets before joining the coastline and heading into the beautiful Galician countryside.
This opening stage offers a wonderful introduction to the Camino Inglés, with sea views, estuaries, forest paths and plenty of opportunities to stop for a coffee and collect stamps along the way. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, colourful murals and the famous 100km marker – the point at which your journey officially qualifies for a Compostela certificate.
Arriving in Neda, you’ll discover a town renowned for its baking heritage and traditional Galician charm. Tonight, relax with your fellow pilgrims and reflect on the first day of your Camino adventure.

Leaving the coast behind, today’s route takes you into the heart of rural Galicia. After a challenging climb out of Neda, you’ll be rewarded with wonderful views across the estuary before following quiet country lanes, woodland paths and traditional farming communities.
Along the way you’ll pass through charming villages, cross historic bridges and experience a slower pace of life that has changed little over the centuries. A stop in the attractive town of Pontedeume provides the perfect opportunity to rest, refuel and collect an important Camino stamp before continuing your journey.
As you approach Miño, you’ll be greeted by beautiful river views and a welcoming market town atmosphere. It’s another rewarding day on one of the Camino’s most scenic stages.

Today’s route continues through the beautiful Galician countryside, following quiet lanes, woodland trails and traditional villages as you make your way towards the historic town of Betanzos.
Although one of the shorter days on the Camino Inglés, the route includes several climbs and descents, making it a rewarding day of walking. Along the way you’ll enjoy panoramic viewpoints, peaceful forest sections and charming rural communities that showcase the authentic character of Galicia.
Your destination is the medieval town of Betanzos, one of the highlights of the entire Camino Inglés. With its narrow streets, historic churches and lively atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to spend the evening reflecting on your journey so far.

Today is often regarded as one of the most memorable stages of the Camino Inglés. Leaving the historic streets of Betanzos behind, you’ll head into the peaceful Galician countryside, walking through forests, farmland and tiny rural hamlets that feel a world away from modern life.
This is the longest day of the pilgrimage and offers a true sense of the Camino experience. Along the route you’ll discover welcoming cafés, collect stamps, meet fellow pilgrims and enjoy long stretches of quiet trail where the only sounds are birdsong and the crunch of boots on the path.
As you approach Hospital de Bruma, you’ll reach the halfway point of your pilgrimage and begin to appreciate just how far you’ve come. This small rural settlement has been welcoming pilgrims for centuries and provides a fitting end to one of the most rewarding days on the trail.

With Santiago drawing ever closer, today’s walk takes you through a landscape of quiet villages, country lanes and beautiful woodland. The route gradually leaves the remote rural heart of Galicia behind as you continue your pilgrimage towards the city.
This stage offers plenty of opportunities to pause, reflect and enjoy the journey. Along the way you’ll pass small cafés, traditional farming communities and some of the most peaceful stretches of the entire Camino Inglés. As the miles pass beneath your feet, anticipation begins to build for tomorrow’s arrival in Santiago de Compostela.
Your destination tonight is Sigüeiro, a welcoming Camino town where pilgrims gather before the final stage of their journey.

Today is the day you’ve been working towards. After nearly a week on the Camino, you’ll set out on the final stage of your pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.
The route begins through woodland and quiet paths before gradually giving way to the outskirts of the city. As the distance markers count down and the cathedral spires come into view, excitement and emotion begin to build. For many pilgrims, this is a day they will remember for the rest of their lives.
We’ll aim to gather before entering the historic centre so that we can walk the final section together. Arriving in the magnificent Plaza del Obradoiro, you’ll celebrate your achievement alongside fellow pilgrims from around the world before collecting your Compostela certificate.
Tonight we’ll enjoy a celebratory meal together and reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared.

BEFORE YOU BOOK
No. Many of our pilgrims are walking their first Camino. As long as you are comfortable with the daily distances and have completed some training beforehand, you’ll be fine.
You should be comfortable walking up to 17 miles (27 km) in a day on mixed terrain. Regular training walks in the months leading up to the trip are strongly recommended.
No. Flights are not included. We will provide recommended flights and many participants choose to travel on the same services.
Yes. A limited number of single rooms are available for an additional supplement. Please note that one night is spent in traditional pilgrim accommodation where sharing may be required.
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of joining this trip and should be arranged as soon as you book.
THE WALKING
Daily distances range from approximately 9 to 17 miles, with most days averaging around 10–16 miles. Remember, you have all day to walk, so it is not a race.
The Camino Inglés is considered one of the more accessible Camino routes. While there are some hills and longer days, it does not involve mountain terrain or technical walking.
No. You’re welcome to walk at your own pace. Some people enjoy walking with others, while others prefer time alone. Daily briefings, route notes and support are provided throughout. It's your Camino, so you walk it your way. if you decide to walk solo, then all we ask is that you "check in" on the WA group at certain points of each walk so we know you are safe.
The route follows a mixture of quiet roads, woodland paths, farm tracks, villages and countryside trails. Good walking boots or trail shoes are recommended.
Local taxi services are available along much of the route. If needed, we can help arrange transport to your next accommodation.
ACCOMMODATION & MEALS
Accommodation varies throughout the trip and includes hotels, guesthouses and one traditional pilgrim hostel.
Twin-share accommodation is the standard option. Single rooms are available on most nights for an additional supplement, subject to availability.
Breakfast is included each morning, along with selected evening meals. Lunches and most dinners are not included, allowing you the flexibility to choose where and what you’d like to eat.
Most dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice. Please let us know when booking when the disclaimer is sent out prior to the trip.
LUGGAGE & LOGISTICS
No. Your main luggage will be transferred between accommodations each day. You only need to carry a day pack containing your daily essentials. If you would like to carry your luggage then this is not a problem, however the price does include luggage transfer.
Simply leave your suitcase or bag (max 15kg) at reception each morning. It will be transported to your next accommodation and waiting for you when you arrive. I would recommend adding an airtag to your luggage (although we have not lost one yet!).
Most pilgrims carry water, snacks, waterproofs, sun protection, personal medication, a phone, charger and their pilgrim passport. We will supply you with a full packing list.
We will provide full joining instructions before departure, including recommended flights, meeting points and transfer information.
THE CAMINO EXPERIENCE
A pilgrim passport, known as a Credencial, is used to collect stamps along the Camino. It acts as a record of your journey and is required to obtain your Compostela certificate.
Yes. Pilgrims who complete the required distance and collect the necessary stamps can obtain an official Compostela certificate from the Pilgrim Office in Santiago.
Everyone has their own reason. Some walk for adventure, some for personal challenge, some for reflection and others simply to experience one of the world’s most famous pilgrimage routes.
The Camino Inglés is one of the quieter Camino routes, offering beautiful scenery, authentic Galician culture and a wonderful sense of community without the crowds found on some of the more popular routes.
