Step into a weekend where history, wild landscapes, and big views come together for a truly memorable escape.

This adventure is built around two of the Peak District’s most fascinating highlights, the iconic Ladybower Reservoir, where the Dambusters trained during World War II, and the haunting B29 Superfortress wreckage high on the remote moors of Bleaklow.

Across the weekend, you’ll experience the very best of the Peaks — from sweeping reservoir views and dramatic ridgelines to rugged moorland and wide open skies that make you feel a world away from everyday life.

Day one takes us along the shores of Ladybower and up onto the stunning Derwent Edge, with far-reaching views across the Hope Valley. On day two, we head deep into Bleaklow for a more remote and adventurous experience, visiting the B29 crash site at Higher Shelf Stones, a powerful and atmospheric highlight of the weekend.

Led by experienced hill and moorland leader Paul Coxon, this is a friendly, supportive group weekend designed for those who enjoy a challenge, love the outdoors, and appreciate a great story behind the landscape.
